Wacom supports further innovation in next-generation of groundbreaking smartphone

October 25, 2012, Tokyo—Wacom Co., Ltd. (“Wacom”) announces that the Samsung GALAXY Note II has been launched with the Wacom ® feel IT technologies digital pen sensor system, based on collaboration between Wacom and Mobile Communications Division of Samsung Electronics Company Limited.

In 2011, the GALAXY Note was the first smartphone to adopt Wacom’s digital pen sensor system, and following the August 2011 launch of the GALAXY Note 10.1 this is now the third Samsung product to make use of the system.

The GALAXY Note II combines Samsung’s proprietary note writing application S Note with Wacom’s S Pen, which is supported by Wacom ® feel IT technologies. The combination of these systems provides users with an easier way of creating and freely expressing ideas.

Wacom ® feel IT technologies comprises a highly sensitive digital pen, a multi-touch sensor, controller chip and driver software, realizing a natural and intuitive user interface solution. By promoting its adoption in popular mobile technology, Wacom aims to bring creative new digital communication solutions to an ever widening range of mobile device users.
